Girls’ Night Out Raises Funds To Benefit St. Anthony Community Hospital Women’s Health Services

St. Anthony Community Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), recently held its second annual Girls’ Night Out fundraising event. Nearly 250 local women, healthcare staff and friends of St. Anthony Community Hospital came together at the Red Tail Lodge at Mountain Creek in Vernon, New Jersey to support the hospital’s women’s health services. More than $30,000 was raised during the event.

Keynote speaker Patricia Pollio, MD, OB/GYN at Advanced Physician Services in Goshen and Suffern, discussed impacts and offered solutions for the effects of hormones on women’s health, and comedian Regina DeCicco revealed the humorous side of womanhood. Girls’ Night Out also featured a shopping suite with local vendors, high-end raffle baskets and the popular “Power of the Purse” raffle.

St. Anthony Community Hospital hosted Girls’ Night Out with Bon Secours Warwick Health Foundation Board of Directors members Terry Quint and Barbara Sullivan serving as co-chairs, along with a committee of hospital staff and community members.

“This was year two of Girls Night Out, and we are thrilled that it surpassed last year’s success, both in terms of attendance and funds raised,” said Sullivan. “We share our deepest gratitude with everyone who made it so terrific – the committee, the vendors and each guest who joined us,” said Quint.

Girls’ Night Out is celebrated at hospitals across WMCHealth. The next Girls’ Night Out event will be held on October 17, 2019, benefiting Good Samaritan Hospital. Additional Girls’ Night Out events will be hosted by Westchester Medical Center in February 2020 and MidHudson Regional Hospital in March 2020, both benefiting women’s heart health. These annual events have become “must-attend” soirees for women throughout the Hudson Valley, including hospital staff.

The Bon Secours Warwick Healthcare Foundation will hold two additional fundraising events this year: the St. Anthony Community Hospital Golf Outing on September 25, and Winding Through Warwick on December 7. For information, please contact the Bon Secours Warwick Health Foundation at 845.368.5151.
